Lt Gen KJ Singh, PVSM, AVSM & Bar (Veteran) is a Former Western Army Commander and a Former Haryana State Information Commissioner, and Advisor to CM Haryana. He is a Member of the UT Advisory Council and Panchkula Development Committee.  He was conferred with Maharaja Ranjit Singh Chair of Excellence in Panjab University and has been invited as commentator, panellist and guest speaker on electronic media, universities and think tanks.

He has commanded Sikkim Corps having borders with four countries including the Siliguri corridor, the Armoured Division and the first T-90 Armoured Brigade. He has served in insurgency and conflict-prone areas like J&K, Punjab, North East and LWE. He has steered key Perspective planning, Capability building, HR and Defence Diplomacy desks in Army HQ. He is a proud recipient of PVSM, Bar to AVSM and AVSM for Distinguished Service. His exceptional qualities have been commended by the Chief of Army Staff and twice by the Eastern Army Commander. 

Lt Gen KJ Singh was cited for bravery during the UN Peacebuilding mission in Angola by the UN Force commander and awarded as ‘Eminent Punjabi’ by Punjab Govt. He was conferred with Punjab State Govt Award on 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak in 2017.
He is a regular columnist in fortnightly column & Generals Jottings in TOI and other print media and also a regular Commentator on strategic affairs on electronic media. He not only established security-related think tanks – ‘Gyan Chakra & Gyan Setu’ in Chandigarh but was also an executive committee member of GCTC and FANS think tanks. 

The first Military Literature Festival was organised under his able guidance. He is an active member of the Steering and Monitoring Groups of DRDO. Last but not the least, he is a renowned motivational Speaker, leadership coach and an Art of Living teacher (stress management).
